How small business save time with Xero and ANZ bank

Does small business accounting software make you shiver? Do you feel like you barely ever have a moment in the office to take care of all the little administrative tasks that pile up? We certainly felt that way. The most challenging task, for us, was accounting. We had to bring in the accountant every now and again to assess our financial health, and it really took away from our ability to travel. Now, thanks to ANZ and Xero, we don’t have to worry about that anymore. We’ll show you why.

Blinq Photography is all about going to the location and getting the shot. Because we’re barely ever in the office, we need accounting software we can use while waiting in the airport or driving along the countryside to our next destination. Xero gives us this kind of freedom. It’s based in the cloud, so we can access it from any device we…

It is such an amazing time to be a creative person. These days, you can carry a full HD camera in your pocket, and you can edit video on your iPhone. Your digital SLR doesn’t just take great pictures. It produces the same HD quality you would get out of a top of the line video camera. What on Earth is happening? I don’t quite know, but it’s making the life of a creative so much easier than it ever was.

When you watch Chase Jarvis’ new video where he road tests the Nikon D7000, you get a clear sense of where the world is headed. Chase took a trip with a few friends out to the desert, capturing some jaw-dropping still photography and professional quality video – all on the same digital SLR camera. He had a blast enjoying complete and total creative freedom.

The internet has been a valuable place where photos where uploaded and shared. It is excellent in terms of sharing it, but there are some instances that photos are used and manipulated by people even without any permission from the owner of the photos. It is like stealing one’s property, so much more getting one’s identity. This can be seen in social networking sites where people sometimes use photos of other people and claim it as theirs. It is like having a perfect clone on the other side of the globe.

One genre of photography is the advertising photography. Advertising photography is the art, activity, or process of capturing photographs for the purpose of advertisement. The photos taken for the purpose of advertisement must meet the quality or standard desired by its client, specifically the art director supervising the advertisement. Hence, it is challenging to engage in the business of advertising photography. The resulting photos must also be in harmony to the product it wanted to endorse and must be in agreement to the whole portion of the advertisement. So there are many factors to be considered before the photo shoot must be set-up and even before you click your camera. One of these factors and the most important one is the model for the advertising photography.

It has been widely proven by many psychologists that people buy a product based on need, emotional attachment, and display. An advertising photographer has to make an advertisement or an item appealing on those grounds. Whether you are selling your product on a national platform or e-commerce websites, such as ebay, here are a few tips to help you sell your products.

Outback Photography with Karen Brook

Karen Brook’s photography showcases the Australian outback in shades of red, blue, green and all the local colour of its pubs, festivals and locals.

Brook is most notably the official photographer for the Birdsville Races and with the next event pending in September this year, her photos might just be the drawcard to get you driving the 2000km (or more depending where you live) to the outback town for a horse race in the desert.

About a year ago I did a review on many things in the business, including business processors, applications and technology, to see if they were aligned to our vision for the future.

One important factor we discovered was the ability to do business anywhere at anytime.

This isn’t just one of those throw-away metaphors but a real serious thing to consider given the nature of the work that Blinq photography does. We’re always moving around – either in Victoria or in another state and sometimes overseas. So access to all our records, be it our financials or contracts all the way down to just simple templates for proposals. Its so important that everyone in the business has access to the most up-to-date information. This provides us the vital ingredient for making key decisions at a drop of the hat.

Randy Craig, an Eye for Beauty: Part Three

This third installment of the four part series on Randy Craig examines Randy’s take on beauty and his approach to capturing it. To Randy, it is all quite simple really. Beauty is the reason why Randy is a photographer. To him, beauty is not just something, it is everything. What we notice about the beauty of interest to Randy is that it has three characteristics. These are:

Firstly, the beauty to which Randy is drawn is natural beauty. It is pristine and unadulterated. Randy seems quick to spot anything that is artificial or made up. Randy finds the beauty that he seeks in natural scenery, in nature’s wildlife and in people possessed of natural grace. Randy says, ‘Where do I find beauty? I find it in nature, mostly; through wildlife, landscapes, isolated details and patterns, and in graceful human form. I am an avid hiker and lover of the outdoors. Exploring new places and observing all aspects of the natural…

Randy Craig, an Eye for Beauty: Part One

Randy Craig is an art photographer living in Portland, Oregon. He takes photographs of nature and people to capture their beauty and be able to share it with others. He enjoys traveling immensely if for no other reason than to be taken by the beauty that he finds where his journeys lead him.

We feel that Randy is spot on about wanting to capture beauty to the extent possible through his photography. Randy prefers not to let the beauty that exists in this world to slip past him. He would like it for this beauty, as it were, to be preserved in his photography and to go on forever.

For Randy, his hiking and his photography go together. Hiking takes Randy to places that he otherwise might not be able to get to by the other, more common means of transport. Randy likes to be kept guessing what lies up the hill or around the bend. He does not mind getting…
