Challenging yourself is a surefire way of improving at something, and the same holds true for photography. But if you can win awesome prizes as you challenge and improve yourself, then, all the better! Dive Photo Guide (DPG) is sponsoring monthly underwater photography themed contests—a great way for amateur shooters to improve their photography skills and nab great photography and diving prizes along the way.

Dive Photo guide will announce a contest theme every month. To participate, simply upload up to three photos to the DPG gallery and give them appropriate tags (which DPG will indicate). DPG’s editorial staff will pick three winners. Only the first placer gets the monthly goodies (underwater photo equipment, diving trips, and scuba diving gear and apparel), but all selected winners will get a chance to win the site’s annual contest, the winner of which will be determined by the DPG community through votes.
